OUT OF THE BLUE is a project that looks at cultural identities, diasporas of different individuals, and the relationships we have with water, sea, blue… OUT OF THE BLUE is a site specific performance which presents a collection of dance portraits choreographed by Christophe Béranger and Jonathan Pranlas-Descours. The portraits are developed in close collaboration with the artists involved, based on their personal stories, the narratives they embody, and those they face in spite of themselves.

Between intensified twitches and body dysfunction, this dance frees itself from all its origins, born in and of itself, in response to the world around us.

Embarqued: Stories of Soil is a dance-theatre work based in excavation of self and country, created in textiles, skin tones, labor, land, humor and moving bodies. The work centers around a transformative ship that invites reflection of our shared history and interrogates our relationship with memorialization.

Representing Manuphotos and Manuproductions, founded by F. Emmanuel Bastien, a photographer and videographer working between New York and Paris. For the last 20 years he has been shooting documentaries, commercials, fashion, and hard news for major channels such as the BBC, Reuters, AP, Globo, and Aljazeera. Today Emmanuel spends more time exploring the visual boundaries photography can offer and exhibits at Soho Photo Gallery, New York.
